- First soak the rice for 1 hour. Then take a tadka pan, add a tbsp of ghee and fry the dry-fruits. Now keep this aside.


- Now heat the milk in a big vessel by adding a bay leaf in it. This would enhance its flavour, wait until the milk comes to a boil. Boil it for 3 to 5 mins then add the soaked rice into it. Mix it well.


- Now add the fried dry fruits & crushed green cardamom. Mix everything well. Boil it until the rice 80 percent done.

- Now grate the jaggery (khejur gurr) first and then add it into the milk. Mix everything well. Now cook the rice till it's 90 percent done. Now switch off the flame. We are leaving the 10 percent as the remaining 10 percent rice would get completely cooked in that hot milk. So we're cooking it till 90 percent. Now switch off the flame.


- Now garnish it with some chopped dry-fruits. Let it come to the room temperature then keep it in a refrigerator for an hour or two & serve chilled...
